Imua Football League is launching in Western Washington in the Fall of 2019. Our goal is to create 16 programs across the region, each with teams at the 11u-12u-14u levels.

Our Mission

Our mission is to change the youth football experience entirely. We will create opportunities for individual growth in areas of discipline, humility, cooperation, mental toughness, confidence and leadership, ensuring that life lessons and values remain long after the scoreboards have reset to zero.  We make this possible by selecting coaches and professionals, experts in their field, to manage the League. Tribes will be replaced with one big FAMILY where community members of all genders, races, and socioeconomic status participate in elite competition with character and integrity.

We believe football is the greatest game on Earth. It provides opportunities for individual growth in areas of discipline, humility, cooperation, mental toughness, confidence and leadership - in a way that no other sport can - that’s because it is such a unique game. 22 players on the field. A chess match where speed & physicality are hallmarks.

The game has given us so many cherished memories and has helped shaped who we are as people. We were blessed to have been introduced to mentors who’ve coached with intentionality, proper X’s and O’s, and ensuring that life lessons & values remain long after the scoreboards have reset to zero.

This is not every young athlete’s experience today, but it should be. The current model for youth football stifles kid’s ability to fall in love with the game. Select basketball and baseball programs offer a higher level of competition and coaching for elite athletes. Some incorporate character-based methodology and some don’t.

Youth football is still operating in a fractured way, where tribal organization and tribal knowledge (often wrong and misguided) is commonplace.

Our mission is to change the youth football experience entirely. Replace tribes with one big FAMILY. Competition and excellence will coexist in harmony with character and integrity.

Values

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”
